Terms of service

The service

toasttrail is an online video editor provided by company legal name (“we”). You describe edits to an AI agent or make them by hand, and export videos.

Your account

You need to be at least 16. Keep access to your email secure, since sign-in links are sent there. You're responsible for what happens in your account.

Your content

• You keep all rights to the footage, audio and other material you upload, and to the videos you export.
• You give us permission to store, process and analyse your content only to run toasttrail for you: making previews, transcripts and descriptions, applying edits and rendering exports.
• Only upload material you have the right to use, including the people, music and places in it.

The AI agent

• The agent and the analysis tools (transcripts, scene descriptions, shot scores, scripts) can be wrong. Check results before you publish.
• Scripts and text the agent writes are yours to use, but you're responsible for what you publish, including claims, names and places.
• Every agent edit can be undone, and the version history keeps earlier versions.

Acceptable use

Don't use toasttrail to create or share content that is illegal, sexually exploits anyone, harasses or impersonates people, infringes others' rights, or deceives people with fabricated events presented as real. Don't try to break, overload or get around the limits of the service. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Plans and payment

• Free and paid plans have the limits shown on the pricing page. Limits reset each billing month.
• Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel in Plan & usage. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments as merchant of record, under their terms.
• Refunds follow our refund policy.
• We'll tell you at least 30 days before a price change affects your plan.

Availability

We work to keep toasttrail running and your work safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Exported files are available to download for 7 days; keep your own copies.

Ending

You can stop using toasttrail at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.

Liability

Limitation of liability and disclaimer wording, as advised for your jurisdiction.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of jurisdiction, and disputes go to the courts of place, unless the law where you live gives you other rights.
